This is our second annual Web Master Awards presentation. It is always a pleasure to present this award, but it is never easy selecting the recipients as we are fortunate enough to know so many fine individuals as a result of running Surfers Choice. As I have said this is the one award left that is totally my decision and as much fun as it is, it becomes tougher each year to select our 3 winners. Below are our 3 1999 winners and our 2000 winners will be selected later this year.
The recipients of our Web Master awards are not selected on their skills with HTML, graphics, programming or any other visible talent; rather I select these individuals because of their contributions to the Web. All of the individuals are people I have come to know over the past years and each are special. These views are not just mine but are shared by many others who have expressed their gratitude and respect for our Web Master Award winners.

Don Chisholm is the Web Master and founder of the Website Awards and the Website Awards worksheet. I am fortunate enough to have Don as a neighbour, although our initial contact was through the Surfers Choice site. Don has been and continues to be a major contributor to the Web through his tireless dedication to helping people both on and off the Net. He has become more than a Net Pal, but is indeed a true friend in the land of the living. My meetings and social gatherings with Don and his beautiful wife, KC, are always fun-filled and enjoyable.
Don reflects what this award is all about in every conceivable way and I am absolutely delighted to present it to him.
Internet Brothers>>>>LinkJeff and his brother Dave (The Internet Bros) present us with a superb Web resource which is almost boundless in the information it presents. Their dedication to this project has evolved steadily over the past three years and the result is a multi-award winning site that presents us with an intelligent look at the Web from many perspectives. So this award, although I really don't know Dave, is truly shared by both halves of the Internet Brothers team. What would one be without the other? - maybe interbro.com or ernethers.com - dun't thin so Lucy.
Jeff is a major contributor, it seems, all over the Net. His articles show up at this site and I seem to run across him on a regular basis during my Net journeys. He is a leader and a provider for many of us and his sense of humor and many skills with the written word are well known and appreciated by many.
I am elated to be able to award Jeff with our Web Master of the year award.

I can well remember when Mic submitted his site to me way back in 1996. The personality of the site impressed me and the amount of work that Mic puts into the site is something to appreciate. Mic is an ace marketing person which is evident in the way he has branded his site using the bee as his trademark. One visit to his site will clearly demonstrate his genius. I can attest to the fact that Mic was a pioneer in this field and has used it to build trust and community.
Mic is that type of person that always takes a second to say hi, pay a compliment or drop you an e-mail just to pick up your day. I can well imagine he does this for many people each day. It is with volumes of pleasure that I present Mic with our Web Master Award.
